The RSME's Congress of Young Researchers is a biennial conference of the Real Sociedad Matemática Española (RSME) where young researchers from the whole world tied—in one way or another—to the Spanish mathematical community meet to share their more recent results and, more importantly, to create ties and continue builiding collaboration networks between who will form the future mathematical community.
After six editions in Soria (2011), Sevilla (2013), Murcia (2015), Valencia (2017), Castellón (2020) and León (2023), the senventh edition will take place from Janary 13 to 17, 2025, in the city of Bilbao where the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) will be the hosting and organizing institution and the Basque Center for Applied Mathematics (BCAM) co-organizer.

In total, there will be more than 350 parallel talks, making this congress the bigest one of the RSME up to today.
Imagine an event where the magic of mathematics intertwines itself with the improvised poetry of Basque art, proving the impressive ability of the bertsolarismo to face any topic. This activity is a double celebration: we present the rich Basque culture to a scientific public and bring mathematics nearer to the general public.
The main venue of the congress will be Bilbao and its surroundings. After opening on Monday morning at the Bizkaia Aretoa, in Bilbao itself; the congress will move to the Facultad de Ciencia y Tecnología of the University of the Basque Country, in the Leioa Campus. With the exception of some concrete activities, such as the science popularization activity, and some days, Wednesday; all of the activities will take place at the Leioa Campus.
RSME's 7th Congress of Young Researchers has both an organizing committee and an scientific committee. Of the organizing committee, Josué Tonelli-Cueto is the chairperson and Oihana Garaialde Ocaña the treasurer. Of the scientific committee, Ujué Etayo is the chairperson and Ángel González-Prieto the vice-chairperson.
The University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) hosts and organizes the congress, and the Basque Center for Applied Mathematics (BCAM) co-organizes.
